Our New Year's Resoluction...to pay more attention to the blog. We were looking at the old blog. It's been a couple of years since we posted. We need to do better so we are starting 2008 with a new blog.
What has happened to Temporal? Not much. We've been too busy with work, self-destruction, getting older and lazier. Then one day, we looked around and noticed the strings had rotted off the guitars, we didn't have a drummer and the bass player pawned it all away. He swears he will get it "all back real soon." I guess we'll never see him again. He was real good. We'll miss him.
So, we are back where we started, 10 years ago; us two guitar players fighting over leads. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years. It really has been just the two of us. We have reached for that golden ring and just as we touched it some dumb f 'er bailed on the band. But we have always been here, we never left.
So now what? We are going to buy new strings tomorrow, blow the dust off the amps. The music is still here. We tell each other about the song in the dream last night. That's all that matters. And, we decided we don't have to prove anything, to anybody, anymore. Fleetwood Mac was right, "growing older makes you bolder." Since we cleared the fog from our eyes we have noticed we ain't any older(alright, not THAT much older) than anyone else out there. And if we are? Don't look, just listen.
Music is timeless.
